i had no plans to turn up to the court hearing as an observer, as in my experience, it can take several hearings and a number of months before any court case gets rolling.

This failure on the part of the Governing Body to appear or to be represented was noticed by the Magistrate who took the unusual step of suggesting and recommending to Steven Unthank that criminal charges be brought against every single member of the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses as opposed to the unincorporated body known as the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses.

in my opinion it is the most importantr thing ex jws should be supporting right now.
the case is at a crucial point.
I, for one, would like to know what's new in the case, and as long as nobody asks for money, there is no reason why we can't discuss it.

she started out understanding why i left and she was supportive of my decision but she still believed the wts to have the truth.

but when they end like that three times....it's strike three... or maybe it was strike #3,333,333.......but it is sad and painful for us both i know.....a person must be in a very very bad place to act like that in front a man you have loved and been intimate with for 15 years....and at that moment i am satan in front of her....a begging pleading attempting to reason satan...but still satan to her and her friends.....but this nice woman needs satan out of her life now....oompa.
i am not a bad person...i am not satan...i asked her why she thought i had tried so hard....told her that if she was in a burning building just how hard would she think i would try to get her out??
she did not like that analogy either...so i have started the painful process...the building is going to burn to the ground now....and i will never put her through that fingers in ears thing again.... and i will be fair and reasonable....and pay her the alimony and give her half....i could so be a satan to her in divorce....but i won't!...i can at least prove to them all that i am decent man...and not mentally diseased or satan.....and ahhhhh i feel good about that....plus both my boys are free now...

so in my continuing quest to find a church which accepts me and provides me some spiritual encouragement every sunday, i decided to drop the baptists and search elsewhere.
i went on the internet and searched for gay friendly churches.
we found a methodist church in nottingham and we decided to go today.. when we entered, everyone was so welcoming.
Tim have you thought of trying the Quakers or United Universalist church?

I think we all have to do what we feel is best at the time.
Personally I didn't have the strength to make a stand at the time I discovered the truth about the 'the truth'. I couldn't be strong for everyone. But I did reach my husband and I am in the process of reaching out to family.

the other day, though, i was remembering my early days of posting (since 2004) and ones i had corresponded with..... so many wonderful people who have contributed their opinions on this forum, and sent good wishes to others throughout the years.
some i've noticed still post at this forum.
I remember Ian, he was still a prolific poster when I first joined here. He ws a very kind man who seemed to be always concerned about others.
